The Elephants of Murchison Falls National Park in Uganda, East Africa

Visiting Murchison Falls National Park was a spectacular experience. I saw beautiful elephants living together in family groups. Their tusks are gargantuan. How can poachers/criminals be so heartless, slaughtering these animals in cold-blood and cutting of their tusks? It's beyond my comprehension. This experience inspires me to do all I can to protect elephants. The demand for ivory must be stopped.

I visited Tsion Mariam Orthodox Christian Church in Axum, Ethiopia. Axum was one of the greatest empires in the world, and was a powerful center of trade from the 3rd to the 7th Century A.D. 

Duho Hot Springs in central-east Ethiopia

One of my favorite places in this country is the Duho Hot Springs, located next to Awash National Park. This area is approximately 200 km east of the capital, Addis Ababa. I visited here last week and had an incredible time. Duho is home to a vast array of wildlife, including lions, crocodiles, and hippos.
